Anne Robinson is probably best known in the UK for hosting the British version of The Weakest Link. In the USA she is best known for hosting the NBC primetime version of Weakest Link. Robinson also hosted an episode of Have I Got News For You in 2002. In the show she was baited slightly by Ian Hislop because of her admiration for Robert Maxwell.
The programme also showed a clip from a 1995 episode where Paul Merton made fun of her wink.

In May 2009, it was announced that Anne Robinson would return to present BBC One's long-running consumer show, Watchdog. In April 2011, after months of speculation Robinson confirmed that she will quit presenting Weakest Link in 2012 after spending 11 years as the Action TV Online host of 1,690 shows.
